what was supposed to be a quick & easy 100km ride turned into something else entirely. the 1st 6km of the road to the moon bon dam was new & near perfect. the next 18km was probably the worst road conditions i've ever seen, road surface pounded into a lunar landscape by overloaded cassava & sugar cane trucks. like a road full of micro cobblestones, had to bob & weave my way at a snail's pace. otherwise the area around the dam was set in some spectacular scenery.

normally i do but my old canon bounced out of my pack a few weeks ago & i haven't gotten around to replacing it (kept waiting for a sale on canon's shock & water proof model).
