Turned out it was ultramarathon day at Redwood Regional Park and we kept getting passed by mostly much older men.
Awesome park. Beautiful redwoods and very dog friendly (mostly off leash). French trail was a killer with all the up and down. Close enough to Berkeley to be rewarded afterwards with great food.

There are so many more awesome Redwood parks closer to home on the Peninsula, but no dogs allowed in any of them!?! Definitely recommend this one for anyone in the area, especially people with pups.
